About Me

My Maritime Life is just that - my life in the maritime province of Prince Edward Island in eastern Canada. It's a place for me to indulge my love of writing while sharing progress on our ongoing home renovations and our lives as newlyweds.

Meet the cast:

When I first moved to the Island. Oh to be 22 again.

Then I caught myself this stud and decided to stay put.

Together we rescued a beagle from an A&W drive-thru. We named him Brew, rid him of tape worms and fleas, and made him our third musketeer. He's kind of a big deal around here.

A few years later, we thought Brew could use a pet so we took Gozo home from a friend's potato farm. He's named after an island in Malta in honour of a semester I spent abroad.

Regan and I in Gozo in 2009.

Around this time, we purchased our first home - a foreclosure that we've been slowly renovating ever since.

November 2013. Still a work in progress.

After seven years together, we got hitched on Sept. 21, 2013.

Brew was the "Best Dog," obviously:

A role he took very seriously ....

Wake me up when there's food

So that's us, in a nutshell. Follow along as we work on being grown-ups.

  1. Hey Krista,

Great site. Clean lines, visually-appealing, nicely formatted, highly readable -- and great photos! Glad to see you finally took the plunge and created a blog of your own.

I only wish you had a "Follow" or "Like" button so I'd get an e-mail update every time you posted a new blog. Oh well, guess I'll just have to wait for Regan to let me know instead! (LOL)

Don't work too hard on being "grown ups"!

    1. Hi Philip,
Thanks for reading! I added an email subscription link just for you :) I'm going to have a lot to write about this summer, so hopefully you'll be seeing lots of new post emails from me soon.
